Hi there, my wife and I will be traveling to Machu Picchu in January. We would like to hike Huaynapichu, see the moon temple up there and visit the ruins at the citadel. Do we take an early ticket, hike Huaynapicchu first then tour the ruins of the citadel or the opposite? It's very confusing and there is so much contradictory information. Please let me know..thank you!

After you make a reservation for Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu through the government website online do you have to pay for it right away? The website seems to indicate that you can pay for it through their office in Cusco, but will they actually hold the reservation for you? I was able to download a ticket with a reservation number, but I did not pay for it right away (this was a few days ago). Now when I go back to the the website and enter in my reservation number, it says that my reservation is not found. Is my ticket still valid?
