Florida Panthers star Brad Marchand broke down in tears as the Boston Bruins played a tribute video for him in his first game back at the TD Garden.
Marchand played a key role in the Bruins’ capturing of the Stanley Cup in 2011, their first title in nearly three decades. He returns to Boston with some additional championship hardware, providing the Panthers with a major boost on their way to a second straight title last season.

Brad Marchand spent his first 16 NHL seasons with the Bruins, so he didn’t hesitate when asked what the best thing about Boston was.
Boston College men's hocke freshman goalie Louka Cloutier got the start at home against Denver. In the loss, he allowed six goals and recorded 20 saves with a .769 save percentage. The start in the net marked Cloutier's fourth of the young season.
Former Boston Bruins forward Ryan Donato has found himself a great fit with the Chicago Blackhawks. During this past season with the Blackhawks, the Massachusetts native set new career highs with 31 goals, 31 assists, and 62 points in 80 games.
