According to NFL reporter Jay Glazer, the Pittsburgh Steelers will not pursue quarterback Russell Wilson and attempt to re-sign him during free agency.

It is the same tone that Mike Tomliln’s good friend and NFL insider Jay Glazer used on Thursday when talking about Wilson, who he belives has no chance of returning. “That ain’t gonna happen,” Glazer said about Wilson heading to Las Vegas.

NFL insider Jay Glazer predicted the Pittsburgh Steelers and quarterback Russell Wilson will not be back together for the 2025 NFL season.

“That ain’t gonna happen,” Glazer said about Wilson signing with the Raiders on the NBC Fantasy Football Happy Hour at Super Bowl media row. “That one is over. I don’t think that’s gonna happen, either (a return to Pittsburgh). I think you’ll see a new start for Russell somewhere.”

The Pittsburgh Steelers are not expected to re-sign Russell Wilson this offseason, NFL insider Jay Glazer said on Super Bowl radio row. According to Glazer, who is the best friend of Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, Wilson will likely be gone from the Steelers' organization. Glazer also does not expect Wilson to land with the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ future at quarterback is up in the air. In the 2024 season, they had Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, but neither quarterback truly secured their long-term future, and both are set to become free agents.
