But the departure also comes shortly after Bari Weiss was named editor-in-chief of CBS News. The Guardian reports Weiss is looking for a new anchor for “CBS Evening News” and is interested in hiring Bret Baier, an anchor for Fox News. Baier is under contract at Fox through the end of 2028.

John Dickerson, who took over as co-anchor of CBS' evening news broadcast in January following the departure of Norah O'Donnell, is leaving the network at the end of the year. Dickerson shared the news in an Instagram post on Monday, Oct. 27.
