ORIGINAL 11.57am: Today, 10th March (or Mar10) is Mario Day, and ahead of an official announcement an 18+ Lego Mario Kart set has leaked online. The set - which will presumably be revealed officially later - popped up on the officially certified Australian Lego Store website, and is reported to be launching on 15th May for $249.99 AUD.

Despite that beefy price and naughty age rating, the set looks really rather strong. It's one of the more detailed takes on both Mario and his kart that we have seen from an official LEGO build so far, and the posable limbs and stand seem to make for a pretty dynamic-looking display piece.
