At least 12 fatalities have been reported in Missouri, according to the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency. The deaths come as a massive storm system moving across the country unleashed winds that damaged buildings, whipped up deadly dust storms and fanned more than 100 wildfires.

Numerous significant tornadoes are expected Saturday afternoon and evening, with the highest risk across several states in the Deep South, forecasters say.

A tornado was spotted in Rolla amid severe weather and thunderstorm warnings across Missouri on Friday. According to AZ Intel, the Rolla Fire Department has confirmed the tornado and reports of damage. Witnesses took to X to report that the roofs of multiple homes in the area were torn off.

Tornadoes in the South and Midwest overnight and early Saturday left 11 dead in Missouri. More tornadoes are forecast Saturday and Sunday.
