Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’ Series Finale Officially Coming to Theaters, Despite Previous Statements
The streamer has confirmed that the hit show's finale will be in theaters after previously seeming to shoot down the idea and the show's creators The Duffers Brothers defecting to Paramount to make movies.
Either way, the Duffers are probably thrilled. The ink is barely dry on their deal with Paramount, and the duo declined to stay with Netflix because of that streamer’s longtime aversion to theatrical releases. At least Netflix gave the showrunners of its biggest franchise a nice good-bye present.

Matt’s not wrong about Quinn’s stacked resume. Since his 2022 stint on “Stranger Things,” the actor has starred in “A Quiet Place: Day One,” “Gladiator II,” “Warfare,” and “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.”
Joseph Quinn joined Stranger Things in season 4 as the D&D-loving high schooler, but sacrificed himself in the Upside Down to save Dustin ( Gaten Matarazzo ), Steve ( Joe Keery ), Nancy ( Natalia Dyer) and Robin ( Maya Hawke ).
