8th Pay Commission News: DA and Dearness Relief for pensioners are updated twice a year under CPC, in March and October, with retrospective effect from January and July.

The recruitment drive aims to fill 22,195 vacancies across various railway zones and production units for Level-1 posts under the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) pay matrix.

Former Supreme Court judge Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai has been appointed Chairperson of the 8th Pay Commission, while IIM Bangalore professor Pulak Ghosh will serve as its part-time member.
