除了首批 8 家银行外，浦发银行、建设银行、民生银行、光大银行等更多银行的 Visa 卡也将在未来一段时间得到支持， 基本实现了对于国内主流银行 Visa 卡的全覆盖 。 好消息还不止于 Visa，国内银行发行的万事达卡（Mastercard）也将在未来几个月支持添加到国区 Apple Wallet 里面，预计同样涵盖绝大多数主流国内银行，并且支持部分银行的万事达借记卡。

1月15日，中信银行宣布支持将本行Visa信用卡和借记卡绑定至Apple Pay。持卡人无论身处境外何地，只要商户支持Visa“一拍即付”，就可以通过Apple Pay进行线下或线上支付。

Visa披露的一组数据显示，全球79%的线下交易来自Apple Pay这类“一拍即付”，但这一方式在国内普及度远不及扫码支付。对国内的苹果用户而言，Apple Pay最常见的使用场景是交通卡，购物等场景下的接受程度有限。同时由于此前Apple Wallet仅支持绑定银联卡，也一定程度上限制了国内用户在国外的使用。

据称，本次接轨后，中国内地用户无论去往何处旅行，均可使用本地银行发行的Visa信用卡与借记卡在接受免接触式支付的店内与线上完成支付。据Visa统计，目前全球有79%的面对面交易均通过NFC功能免接触完成。

过去十年，国区 Apple ID 的钱包一直仅支持绑定银联卡。由于扫码支付的挤压，原本在国内的使用场景就比较有限，出国旅游时也不能用 Apple Pay 刷一些不支持银联的商户或者服务（比如地铁）。
