CLEVELAND, Ohio — Northeast Ohio remains locked in a dangerous stretch of Arctic cold Friday, with temperatures staying well below normal and another frigid night ahead that could threaten additional record lows.

Weather Impact Alert Day: The Arctic air will arrive early Friday, sending temperatures plunging to near -10 degrees by morning. Wind chills could reach as low as -20 degrees, making even short exposure risky. Highs on Friday afternoon will remain in the single digits, keeping the region in a deep freeze.

After mostly thawing out, another Arctic blast is on the way. Temperatures will drop over the weekend with more single-digit wind chills.
