Mark Vientos continued his hot streaking hitting a second inning home run to put the Mets up 2-0. The Braves came back to tie it in the sixth and took the lead in the eighth as Atlanta beat New York 4-3.

The New York Mets came up short in their bid for a three-game sweep on Sunday, falling 4-3 to the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park to close out the road trip. David Peterson was sharp early, striking out eight while holding Atlanta scoreless through five innings.
