Spotify has launched a program to publish audiobooks from independent authors, focusing on a few genres to start.

The company has opened submissions for short-form content “written specifically for audio.” If Spotify chooses to move forward with a submission, it will make an offer and then publish the audiobook.

The company has partnered with AI software company ElevenLabs to allow more authors to use digital narration in their audiobooks.
