A widening infant formula contamination scandal has shaken the global market as cereulide—a dangerous mitochondrial toxin—has now been detected in products from Nestlé, Danone, and possibly others.

“At this stage, no analysis has shown a causal link between the consumption of the infant milks concerned and the occurrence of symptoms in an infant” – France's Health Crisis Centre said.
