Freezing temperatures are set to hit Southeast Texas from Saturday night to Sunday morning, prompting a Weather Impact Alert.
MACON, Ga. — The 13WMAZ Weather Team remains in a Weather Impact Alert through Monday morning as a system continues to bring a wintry mix to certain portions of the area. This could result in ice accumulations throughout the rest of Sunday morning, with a potential for refreezing as we head into Monday morning.

A mix of freezing rain and sleet will bring slick roads and the risk of power outages this weekend mainly for inland areas. FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAYS remain in place for today and Sunday.
Saturday afternoon temperatures are expected to get above freezing, but colder air will move in through the afternoon and evening promoting the potential changeover from rain to snow. Amounts could range from 0.5″-1.5+″ further north. Some slick spots will be possible overnight into Sunday morning since the snow that falls will not melt overnight.
