Indiana is largely being spared from the next round of major snow events, with only light lake-effect snow expected in the northwest corner of the state and minimal snow elsewhere, giving crews time to clear roads and improve travel conditions.
A few Indianapolis residents died in their homes during frigid temperatures. Others traveling around Indiana died in weather-related traffic crashes.
INDIANAPOLIS — State agencies will be at the Emergency Operations Center in downtown Indianapolis on Saturday, ready to help during the expected winter weather this weekend. The EOC will begin operating at noon on Saturday. The Indiana Department of Homeland Security's partner agencies at federal, state and local levels will be there.
