The American war veteran Jake Larson, has died at the age of 102. Known to his 1.2 million followers on TikTok as "Papa Jake", he captivated both young and old with his stories.

Jake “Papa Jake” Larson, a 102-year-old D-Day veteran who gained 1.2 million TikTok followers sharing his World War II experiences, died peacefully on July 17, his granddaughter announced.

"Our beloved Papa Jake has passed away on July 17th at 102 years young," McKaela Larson, Papa Jake's granddaughter, wrote in a post on his TikTok.
