Supposing you're in a situation where you'd love to work with Apple's OS X desktop operating system, but for whatever reason you'd rather not – or cannot – work with an Apple-made piece of hardware.

While I am not a great fan of Apple products or Mac OS X, this is a familiar story among many consumers – you want a Mac OS X device but you simply have nowhere near the amount of money to afford it.
