The National Weather Service is forecasting Friday temperatures not getting above -8 with wind chill values as low as -41.

Extreme cold in the region has led to several events being postponed as well as some services being canceled.

Outdoor events on Jan. 22 and Jan. 23 have been postponed or canceled.
