SUGARLOAF TWP. — An 84-year-old logger was killed Monday when part of a tree he was cutting fell on top of him. Sugarloaf Township Fire Chief Duane Hildebrand said crews were dispatched at 12:05 p.m.

OLYMPIA — Yelm logger Walter Reichel was crushed by a tree on June 2. He was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he underwent two surgeries. He had broken eight ribs and his sternum.
