COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH) — The Columbus weather continues to be very snowy and bitterly cold.

A winter storm watch has been issued for Hampton Roads as the region braces for a potentially significant snow storm and possible blizzard conditions this weekend.

First Alert Weather Days are in place this weekend for the likelihood of snow and extreme cold.

An extreme cold warning was released by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 11:24 p.m. valid for Saturday between midnight and noon for Fayette, Winston, Walker, Blount, Etowah, Pickens, Tusca...

"Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. Temperatures this cold can possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing," explains the weather service.
