The National Weather Service issued its first snow projections for this weekend winter storm. Delaware, which is under a winter storm watch, is predicted to receive 10.5 to 15.3 inches of snow between 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, and 7 a.m., Monday, Jan. 26.
According to the National Weather Service there is an 81% chance Wilmington and northern New Castle County will see a 72-hour snowfall grater than 12 inches. Southern New Castle County and most of Kent County have a 70% chance of seeing more than 12 inches of snow. Sussex County has a 50 to 60% change of seeing snow fall totals above 12 inches.
