With a winter storm set to hit the New York City area — along with nearly half of the United States — over the weekend, we’re getting a clearer picture on the timing of when we could see snow start to fall,
"We are expecting light snow to fall at that time, potentially getting heavier by daybreak on Sunday," Lee said. "The heaviest snow will fall in morning hours of Sunday from 7 a.m. until about 1 or 2 p.m. in the afternoon."
"Travel will be difficult, especially Sunday night into Monday morning when accumulation rates will be highest," the weather service said.
