New York City Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani holds a commanding lead over former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), who is running as an independent, according to a new poll released one

Andrew Cuomo, alongside endorsers Mayor Eric Adams and former Gov. David Paterson, made the argument at a senior citizen center in the Bronx on Tuesday that they represent the Democratic Party, not the Democratic nominee for mayor.

The New York Daily News attacked Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani as "callow and mealy-mouthed" in its endorsement of Andrew Cuomo on Sunday.

“I’d go half-and-half,” Cuomo said, trying to appeal to both sides. Laughter erupted inside the room as Mamdani and Curtis Sliwa, the republican nominee in the debate, both threw their hands up.
