A hearing was been set to determine the admissibility of DNA evidence in the case against suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann during Heuermann's Wednesday court appearance.

A judge set a Mar. 28, 2025, trial date for accused Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann where he will hear arguments about the type of DNA evidence allowed. The judge also heard arguments on separating the cases but did not issue a ruling.
