The Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) issued a ground delay until 10 p.m. at Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) Airport Monday due to staffing.

A line of strong thunderstorms brought heavy rain and wind to the Fort Worth area Friday night, but no confirmed tornadoes, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth.

State Rep. Nate Schatzline, a Republican from Fort Worth, announced Monday he would not seek reelection next year after he accepted a position to a national faith-based outreach coalition. Schatzline was first elected in 2022 to represent a district that includes the north side of Fort Worth and stretches to the northern part of Tarrant County.
