WASHINGTON (AP) — More than 50 universities are being investigated for alleged racial discrimination as part of President Donald Trump’s campaign to end diversity, equity and inclusion programs that his officials say exclude white and Asian American students.

Amid President Trump's push against DEI, the Education Department has opened investigations into a diversity-related program it says is connected to three California colleges. The department said it is investigating whether the program amounts to illegal race-based discrimination.
