Sony Group Corporation shares spiked more than 8% after the brand bumped its 2024 profit forecast. The international brand raised its projected sales figures by 2%, shifting its expected sales for 2024 to a staggering 1.

Sony on Thursday raised its operating profit forecast for the year ending in March by 2% to 1.34 trillion yen ($8.70 billion) as it reported strong growth at its key gaming unit.

Sony shares popped after it raised its 2024 outlook for annual operating profit to 1.34 trillion yen ($876 billion), a 2% rise from the previous financial year.
