The Detroit Lions did not place a waiver claim in on former cornerback Darius Slay. After a subpar stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Slay was waived and eventually claimed by the Buffalo Bills.
After just 10 games, the Pittsburgh Steelers and veteran cornerback Darius Slay have mutually agreed to part ways, according to ESPN. The Steelers have reportedly filled Slay's roster spot with Asante Samuel Jr., who made his season debut during Pittsburgh's Week 13 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Darius Slay is being released and Asante Samuel Jr. is being signed from the practice squad to the active roster, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
