Fresh off an NBA championship, the Oklahoma City Thunder get to afford the rare luxury of a blue-chip prospect headlining their Summer League squad. Nikola Topic has finally suited up after sitting out last year due to a torn ACL. He went No. 12 in the 2024 NBA draft.

With the 12th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, the Oklahoma City Thunder selected Nikola Topic, a 6-foot-6 combo guard out of Serbia.

Nikola Topic is up to seven points, three assists and two steals for OKC in 13 minutes. Brooks Barnhizer and Mady Sissoko each have seven rebounds for the Thunder.

Being a second ahead of the pass, Nikola Topic disrupted Philly's passing lane and caused another steal. He then grabbed the ball and threw up an underhanded lob pass to Hason Ward. The fastbreak alley-oop was a rare highlight in a game that'll be easy to forget by the morning.

The shooting coach guru is known across the league as one of the best. He was brought over from the San Antonio Spurs in 2022. He's spent plenty of time with players like Josh Giddey and Ousmane Dieng over the years to help rework their jumpers. Now, Topic has been his next big project.
