New leaders gained control of the Ottawa County Board in January, but commissioners associated with the far-right political platform Ottawa Impact continue to make waves.

The enumeration revealed 2,952 people in Ottawa were homeless between 12 noon on Oct. 23 and the same time on Oct. 24, compared to 1,654 in the count in 2016.
