Queen Camilla wore a royal tiara as she and King Charles hosted the French President at a Windsor Castle banquet during his state visit to the U.K.

With Buckingham Palace still undergoing extensive renovation, all eyes are on Windsor today for the State Visit of France’s President Macron to the UK. This morning Prince William and Kate Middleton performed the traditional responsibility that falls to the Prince and Princess of Wales of greeting the visiting Head of State before traveling alongside them to meet the King and Queen for the formal welcome.

Queen Camilla was a vision in green today as she welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, to Windsor. The Queen looked sensational in an emerald green chiffon dress by Anna Valentine, which she paired with a colour-matching hat by Philip Treacy.

Today was kind of a big deal for the British royal family—and for international diplomacy, too. For the first time in 17 years, France made an official State Visit to the U.K., with French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron arriving on July 8.
