Islanders activate Scott Mayfield, Ryan Pulock off injured reserve
The New York Islanders will see a boost on their blue line as on Saturday the club activated defensemen Scott Mayfield and Ryan Pulock from the injured reserve, reports Andrew Gross of New York Newsday.
NHL Buzz: Pulock, Mayfield to return from injury for Islanders against Stars
Defensemen Ryan Pulock and Scott Mayfield will return from injury against the Dallas Stars on Sunday (7:30 p.m. ET, Victory+, MSGSN). Pulock, who missed seven games with an upper-body injury, has 16 points (three goals, 13 assists) and is plus-7 in 48 games while averaging 21:55 of ice time. He will be paired with Scott Perunovich.
Islanders' Scott Mayfield: Activated from IR
Mayfield (lower body) was activated from injured reserve Saturday, per Andrew Gross of Newsday reports. Mayfield will return ahead of Sunday's matchup with Dallas after missing the Islanders ' final four contests before the break. The 32-year-old blueliner had two goals, seven points and a plus-14 rating in his first 50 games this season.
