A celebrity snake named Lady Gaga is retiring this week after 17 years as a drawcard at the northern territory wildlife park.

But unlike her human namesake, she has never released an album, worn a meat dress or demanded a nude life-size doll with pink fluffy pubic hair. She is, after all, an 18-year-old albino carpet python.
