That is hard for me. Especially when it aches. Because it does ache. Holding something that wants to move. Watching someone laugh or plan or build around something you know is not fully true.
I still wonder: Is radical honesty always the best policy? I do think so. But this year, it’s got an asterisk because sometimes, the truth can be more harmful than omission.
