Following this, a sharp blast of Arctic air will surge into the eastern half of the country late Friday into the weekend, dropping temperatures 10 to 20 degrees below normal. Wind chills will make it feel even colder, marking the return of winter chill that will persist into early next week.
Several inches of snow are expected to fall on Dec. 2 in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, with freezing rain and iced-over roads in some areas.

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for a number of Northeast Ohio counties: See the updates
CLEVELAND — Snow is impacting Northeast Ohio once again, which is why the National Weather Service had issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the entire region -- including Cleveland, Akron and Canton. While the Winter Weather Advisory has expired for most of the region, it remains in effect for the following counties until 7 p.m. Tuesday:
On Tuesday at 11:54 a.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated winter weather advisory in effect until 6 p.m. for Northern Wayne and Southern Wayne as well as Susquehanna, Lackawanna and Pike counties.
