First Alert Forecast: Tornado Watch out for some of SWLA until 8 PM, calmer Thursday ahead
The Tornado Watch has been cancelled for Vernon and Beauregard Parishes. Jeff Davis, Calcasieu and Allen Parishes remain under the watch until 8 PM, although the threat is likely to end well before then and possibly as early as 5-6 PM.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A Tornado Watch is in effect Wednesday through 8 p.m. Warm, muggy air continues to push in on southerly winds while plenty of sunshine heats the air through Wednesday afternoon. High temperatures rise near 80 through the day. This will provide plenty of fuel to trigger storms with the strong winds in the upper levels.
