Barger had hit one home run this year against a left-handed pitcher before he delivered the first pinch-hit grand slam in World Series history.

Lefty slugger Addison Barger wasn't in the starting lineup for the Toronto Blue Jays, but he made World Series history in Game 1 with one swing of the bat: He hit the first pinch-hit grand slam ever in Fall Classic. And Dan Plesac of the MLB Network nailed that Barger would make an impact with a home run at some point.

Addison Barger delivered the biggest hit in the Blue Jays' 11-4 rout of the Dodgers in Game 1 of the World Series at Rogers Centre on Friday night -- a pinch-hit grand slam, the first in Fall Classic history.
