The Q3 earnings report provided a much needed clarity on some one-off headwinds and this giving investors a sigh of relief.

Shares were up 2.43% at $12.64 in the Friday premarket having risen 3.2% in after-hours trading. That followed a 0.7% fall in regular trading on Thursday. The S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average finished the day up 0.6% and 0.3%, respectively.

Ford said a fire at an aluminum factory will lower profits in the last three months of the year. The company also said it has stopped making an electric version of its popular F-150 pickup.

Ford investors also will be looking for updates on company's cost-cutting efforts, quality improvements, tariff impact and a supplier fire.

Ford sold a record number of hybrid vehicles in the third quarter. Still, it will have a high bar to clear after GM boosted profit expectations for the year.

Coppola’s sales follow his investment of $120 million of his own money into 2024 box office bomb 'Megalopolis.

Ford is adding extra workers and taking other measures to meet “strong” customer demand for its F-Series pickup trucks, while making up for production losses stemming from a fire at an aluminum supplier’s plant.
