3rd UPDATE, 7:15 AM: After less than an hour of deliberation today, the jury in Sean “ Diddy ” Combs’ sex-trafficking trial have a verdict. They are returning to the lower Manhattan courtroom, where the Bad Boy Records founder, his lawyers and family, are already assembled.

NEW YORK (AP) — Jury deliberations got underway on Monday in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex trafficking trial and hit a snag almost as soon as they started. But, by the end of the day, jurors indicated they were making progress weighing complex charges that could put the hip-hop mogul in prison for life.

Combs is seated alone at the defense counsel table this morning, flipping through a large book and appearing to take notes. The first three tables in the courtroom – normally filled by prosecutors and defense attorneys during the bulk of the trial – are empty except for Combs. His lawyers are huddled together on the side of the courtroom.
