Attaching plywood for roof sheathing? Screws? - Contractor Talk
2007年7月26日 · I walked on a plywood sheathed deck a few years ago after getting used to the OSB decks, there was so much popping and snapping of the wood that I didn't know if I wanted to go to the ridge or just get back down and let someone else do the roof. I had to talk myself into staying up there because this was a regular customer.

2008年7月19日 · So now they install 3/8 plywood over the top of whatever crap is in place, so that the owner sees a "new" roof, and they can stick the I&W along the eaves and valleys and have it work. By my reading of the code, the plywood counts as an additional layer, so this approach blows the 2-layer maximum rule out the window.

2010年7月12日 · im not a roofing contractor but ive seen my share and I would not use ply wood on a roof i have seen it bow and buckl time after time thats old school now most commonly used is 3/4 5/8 advantec t&g or 5/8 osb they sell it up here for roofing it strong and wont buckl but if you can spend the extra $ advantec is the way to go you can leave it out side for ever and it wont swell or rott tuff ****

2004年12月29日 · Have never had a problem with 7/16 or 1/2 inch OSB as far as sagging in 15 years. We use plywood for setting up protecting the winows on houses. leave a piece of 1/2 inch cdx and a piece of 1/2 inch OSB out in the weather for a couple a months the cdx will warp and separate. the OSB will swell up only.
