The only health related issue that seahorses have regarding lights is the heat output. As long as the water temperature stays below 75 degrees, any aquarium light fixture can work. These days most seahorse keepers use LEDs or T5s.

My seahorse tank has a large open water area where I figured the cardinal fish would hover. I have a pair of pajamas and a pair of bangaii.

2019年10月4日 · When I first entered the seahorse keeping hobby back in 2002, the recs were for 30g for the first pair and 15g for each additional pair. Since then we have learned it's best still for 30g for the first pair but better to have 25-30g for each additional pair. The old recommendations can be found on seahorse.org in the library section.

2017年5月2日 · Good corals to choose for a seahorse tank are leathers, palys, zoas, most mushrooms, xenia, green star polyp, clove polyps, duncans, blastos, pagoda cup, and gorgonians. Most of these are hardy and will thrive in cooler water temperatures. Most macroalgae are seahorse safe and will also do well in water temperatures suitable for ponies.
