2024年2月18日 · It looks like any other exo cache but its marked as "vehicle data recorder" when you look at it. You have to build a vehicle, then drive about until you come across it. I don't see the marker from orbit or on the compass.

2023年7月9日 · Open the radar by holding R and selecting the top option. You'll see it on the radar. A solution to no poi symbol (light bulb surrounded by dots) appearing on your compass is to just duplicate your save and play on the duplicate. hope this saves people the 4 hours i personally spent looking for a non existence cache on Desolo.

EXO Chips are a rare resource in Astroneer. They resemble bundles of computer chips. EXO Chips are found inside of EXO Caches and the Vehicle Data Recorder, which requires Dynamite or another form of an explosion to be opened (such as those from Volatile Cataplants on Glacio, or Volatile Attacti on Atrox).

Players will obtain a free Hoverboard and its Schematic from completing a chain of Missions: By completing To Parts Unknown, players will unlock Prototype Recovery. Finding and blowing up the Vehicle Data Recorder on Desolo and retrieving its EXO Chip will unlock the mission Tracing the Transmission and reveal the location of the MAT.

A Vehicle Data Recorder is a unique EXO Cache located on certain planets. It is needed to advance missions in order to get the Hoverboard and the VTOL. Like ordinary EXO Caches, it has to be blown up, using Dynamite or other methods.
