I transferred from another university, and while JHU has given me amazing access to resources and courses my previous institution couldve never offered me, I was shocked by the culture here. The main explanation is, JHU administration didn't particularly care about student life and such until very recently compared to other schools.

2023年3月5日 · I recently applied and got accepted to Johns Hopkins' online Space Systems Engineering Masters of Science program. The thing is, compared to every other of the 6 schools I applied to, all for online programs, the application was the simplest. It was the only one that didnt require letters of recommendation or a statement of purpose.

My husband is a top professor at Hopkins and our kid didn’t get in with 4.9/5 gpa, 1570 sat, 500+ hrs service, internship, very committed ECs, hardships, Hispanic … 🤷🏻‍♀️ You will do well because you’re you, not because of where you go to school.

2021年5月26日 · Literally had to take a loan if i went to Cornell. So i genuinely don't think you should worry about Financial aid too much. Hopkins has a lot of money. Edit: Hopkins is raising the min wage to $15/hr which is pretty cool and eases the burden of paying indirect expenses.

2021年1月11日 · During orientation, one of the last days you'll be required to do a walk of the community and you'll be shown the neighborhood, where things are, and where the Hopkins "security" bubble extends in Charles Village. In general, as long as you use city street smarts and don't outwardly flaunt ur riches or you stay in groups you'll be fine.

2022年2月11日 · Just got rejected ED2 from John’s Hopkins and I am pretty concerned about the us college system in general. The ED2 for jhu is projected to be 7-8% this year, comparing to 30% 2-3 years ago. This basically makes the whole point of Ed worthless. Why can’t these colleges scale up their seats to accommodate more equally qualified students.

2019年11月26日 · I applied to Johns Hopkins graduate school for a masters degree in my preferred field (Computer Science) a few weeks ago. In the application process, all I had to do was to give them a list of required undergrad courses, send them my unofficial transcript, and unofficial GRE score. I did not write an SOP or a letter of rec.
