Rob's personality led to a lot of controversy and some bad business dealings. The fans started turning on him. A lot of young fans started to sour on his art. He became a meme. Whether you like Liefeld's art or not, I think his art is unjustly picked on because there was plenty of worse stuff going around in the 90s.

2017年11月28日 · The Liefeld drawing is bad but the blogger makes an excellent point. My problem with Liefeld has always been that he doesn’t seem to improve. When I was a kid, people made fun of his characters feet, hands and 2 facial expressions. 20 years later and he still can’t draw feet, hands or more than 2 facial expressions.

2014年8月20日 · Rob Liefeld is the poster child for 90s comic art, which has been much derided ever since. People also hated what him and Jim Lee did with Heroes Reborn. He's also been accused of being a swipe artist by people such as Peter David.

i never really minded the silly/absent feet, most artists in the 90s drew their feet like that anyway including jim lee (probably where liefeld picked up the bad habit). i was always much more annoyed by the fact that early on he COULD NOT draw fists (they just looked like misshapen clubs) and he still can't properly draw a hand gripping a weapon.

2024年2月5日 · The actual Deadpool character was created by Fabian Nicieza Joe Kelly and Ed McGuinness, Rob Liefeld had virtually nothing to do with Deadpool outside of riding the characters coattails when he became famous by overblowing his creator role when he's really just the guy who designed the costume but ripped it off anyway.

The problem with his craft is that he has not evolved over time. He continues to make the same mistakes he did back when he started.
