Anytime I have a patient who’s extra special (which sadly often times also means extra sick) I try to slow down and spend a little more time with them. They almost always get one of my trademark Dr. Fein pep talks. It probably helps my heart more than it helps them, but I like to think they feel the love behind it. And that has to count for something 🥰 This is Panda. She has a disease called immune mediated hemolytic anemia, which in simple terms means her immune system is mistakenly attacking
