A key unit is on fire at Russia’s Tuapse refinery. Unidentified drones reportedly struck the Tuapse oil refinery in Russia. Preliminary reports indicate the AVT-12 unit is burning — a critical part of primary oil processing responsible for atmospheric-vacuum distillation. With a capacity of roughly ~12 million tons per year, Tuapse is a major facility. When primary distillation is disrupted, refinery throughput takes a direct hit.
