Adele Sypesteyn Studio on Reels

Starting a 48x48” painting 🌷 I started by making some marks on the canvas to give me somewhere to start after applying a raw umber underpainting. I had pre-mixed reds, pinks, blues, greens, and yellows on several palettes because I find it allows me to be more spontaneous. I ended up adding all the colors I mixed to the canvas in a random way to try to fill in all the spaces on the canvas. I’ll likely be doing this for several layers until something tells me to go in a specific direction. This
