Ever wonder how newspapers were made from the late 19th Century up through the 1970s? In this video, Howard explains the history and operations of the Model 8 Linotype machine on display in our print shop exhibit at the Sacramento History Museum. While this Linotype is fully operational, we lack the power and ventilation in order to do demonstrations with it at the museum.
