Tilting track wagons! Spotted at Basingstoke yesterday, it’s a Colas Rail class 70 and some tilting track wagons - used for Network Rail engineering projects. They’re a smart solution to a tricky problem, with similar seen all over the UK (and in Europe too, where these wagons tend to be built) and as people on the station looked intrigued by it, I thought I’d do this little explainer.
