How can patient partners be engaged in laboratory research? The Blueprint Translational Research Group at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute researched how to involve patient partners, people with lived experience of a health issue or their caregivers, in preclinical laboratory research. Engaging patient partners in laboratory research is a new and emerging area with many benefits; however, there is still much to learn. To address this, they are co-developing a framework for patient engageme
